Suggested Agronomy

Laureate Spring malting barley

SEEDING RATE: 350 seeds/m2

TARGET PLANT COUNT: 300 plants/m2

TARGET HEAD COUNT AT: 1000 heads/m2

ROTATION: Avoid years 1-3 after ley, suits long term arable rotations

BASE FERTILIZER: Ensure good potassium (K) levels, normal lime and Phosphorous (P)

NITROGEN FERTILIZER: Max 140 kg/ha (112 units/ac) - adjust for organic manures etc

Typically LAUREATE receives 125kg N/ha (100 units/ac) to manage lodging and achieve exceptional yields

FUNGICIDE: Normal/reduced programs suit LAUREATE as excellent disease resistance

PGR: Apply PGR to reduce lodging risk such as ccc/moddus/Medax Max at gs 30-32 or Terpal/Medax Max gs 32-39
